Nissan isn't the only one that thinks a convertible crossover may be the next big thing. Korean carmaker SsangYong is set to unveil its own convertible at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
The SsangYong XIV-2 convertible concept is a premium crossover that comes with a one-touch automatic opening soft-top roof. The purpose? SsangYong says its for that "'wind in the hair' driving enjoyment." Packed with its futuristic and aesthetic design, the Korean carmaker is hoping the XIV-2 is something that would "appeal to the younger generation."
XIV, by the way, stands for eXciting User Interface Vehicle. If that sounds familiar, it's because SsangYong displayed the XIV-1 at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011.
The XIV-2 is powered by a 1.6-liter engine that runs on either gasoline or diesel, and it is designed to meet Euro 6 emission regulations.
The convertible crossover is 4,166mm long, 1,820mm wide and 1,566mm high.
