Toyota Motor Philippines launches upgraded Innova MPV

Toyota Motor Philippines has finally launched the updated Innova, completing the circle for the Japanese carmaker's triumvirate of its Innovative International Multi-Purpose Vehicle (IMV) line following release of the upgraded Hilux and Fortuner in August 2011.
According to Toyota assistant chief IMV engineer Osamu Tamioka, the goal for the vehicle's refresh was to make it look more upscale by  giving both its interior and exterior a more modern and advanced design.
Immediately evident up front are the treatments done to the front fascia, with the new grille sporting raised ridges that translates into distinct character lines on the hood. The bumper also sports a more aggressive design while the new head and tail lamps echo that of its larger stablemate, the Alphard's. Completing the Innova's exterior upgrades are the turn signals on the side mirrors, new rocker panels and new 15-inch alloy wheels.
For its interior, the upgraded Toyota Innova gets the steering wheel of the Camry, complete with the integrated remote switches for the sound system. The controls for the air-conditioning system now also sports an aluminum-like trim to complement the dark wood grain paneling on the dashboard and center console. Rounding out the changes to the Innova's interior kit is the new instrument panel.
The upgraded Innova is now available at Toyota's dealerships from P813,000 for the base 2.0-liter, gasoline-powered J variant to P1.235 for the range-topping automatic transmission-equipped 2.5-liter V diesel variant finished in White Pearl.
